Build your own rugged and heavy duty rack for your firewood by using our 14 piece, USA made, 1/8" thick steel brackets! (You will have to buy the wood and lag bolts at your local home improvement store). Note that the first picture is an actual customer picture and shows two racks, but this listing is for 14 brackets, which is enough to build one rack, not two. Included are four (4) Outside Corners, four (4) Inside Corners, and six (6) Flats (used for the uprights and to support the span). These are not flimsy/bendable metal. We make them using 1/8" thick steel - a single corner bracket weighs just over 2 pounds - - strong enough to take what you throw at it (or what you throw it at!), but not so heavy where they are hard to work with. We are the original designer of these brackets, which may be copied, but never equaled! :) We use 1/8″ steel which is thicker than a Quarter and a Dime stacked on top of each other. Also unlike others who just cut and ship steel right off their table, we take the time to hand debur and wire brush both the inside and outside of every piece. And all our PostHugger™ Brackets & metal artwork products are Made in America with American-Made SteelThis listing is for a complete 14 piece set of brackets made to fit 4 x 4 Posts or Beams. NOT INCLUDED ARE THE WOOD AND LAG BOLTS. You will need to buy 6 pieces of 4x4 lumber and 1/2” lag bolts from your local hardware store. We pre-drilled and used 2” long lags for ours, but you can use longer if you like. There are 4 Inside Corners with “ears” to hold the horizontal pieces. We installed those first on each post, followed by the 4 Outside Corners. We then installed the short side pieces between each of the two upright posts. We cut ours 12” long, which makes the bottom of our rack 19” deep. Then we installed the long front and back pieces and tightened each with an impact. Next, we installed the supports mid-way on the bottom. Finally, we loaded it up! Four (4) extra Flat Brackets are included so you can add a cross piece to the top/sides like in the first picture. Also please note that if you do not get the powder coated version these ship as raw, unpainted steel. You can either paint them the color of your choice, finish them with a clear coat, or allow to achieve a natural rust patina over time. We decided to let ours rust. © 2024 Thermo-Flex Technologies, Inc. - All Designs, Photos, and Text are the Intellectual Property of Shop Owner and are not to be copied without express written permission.
